We are a small team of Omani guides born at Wadi Shab. We take you through canyons and natural pools, across desert dunes, up the mountains and into the country's oldest mudbrick villages.

Wadi Shab
Si attraversa il wadi in barca, poi si cammina tra pareti di roccia e palmeti fino alle piscine color smeraldo. L'ultimo tratto è a nuoto: si entra in una grotta dove scende una cascata. A short boat crossing, then a hike between rock walls and palm groves to the emerald pools. The last stretch is a swim into a cave with a waterfall inside.

Il desertoThe desert
Dune rosse fino all'orizzonte. Si sale in 4x4 per vedere il tramonto dalla cresta più alta, si beve il caffè omanita con i datteri in un accampamento beduino e si dorme sotto il cielo stellato. Red dunes as far as you can see. We drive up by 4x4 to watch the sunset from the highest ridge, share Omani coffee and dates at a Bedouin camp, and sleep under the stars.

La montagnaThe mountains
Sopra i 2.000 metri l'aria è fresca anche in estate. Camminiamo lungo il bordo del canyon di Jebel Shams, il "Grand Canyon d'Arabia", e tra i terrazzamenti di rose e melograni di Jebel Akhdar. Above 2,000 metres the air stays cool even in summer. We walk the rim of the Jebel Shams canyon, the "Grand Canyon of Arabia", and through the rose and pomegranate terraces of Jebel Akhdar.
